The Housing Consumer Education Center (HCEC) at NeighborWorks Housing Solutions is the "front door” to the agency. Whether you are a homeowner, tenant, landlord, or at risk of homelessness, or have a question for a friend… we are here to answer your questions and help you figure out your options. Our goal is to provide you with the information that you need to make the best decision. Our staff have a broad knowledge of resources in southern Massachusetts and can assess your situation and connect you to the appropriate resources and assistance.
We also have a strong focus on group education addressing topics such as Fair Housing and Lead Paint Hazards. We offer workshops on:
- How to Access Affordable Housing
- First-Time Homebuyer Classes
- Landlord Rights and Responsibilities
- Developing a Spending Plan
- Repairing your Credit
- Housing Search
- Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
We work to provide you with proactive education and short-term strategies for success.
