SUMMARY

 

The Assistant Continued Occupancy Manager is essential to the Housing Choice Voucher Program and supports the Director of Leased Housing and the Management Team in all aspects of Housing Choice Voucher, HCV, administration from selection to end of participation in accordance with the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, EOHLC, contract(s); Administration Plan(s); HUD regulations, notices, and directives; and guidance provided by EOHLC.  NeighborWorks Housing Solutions values teamwork, ingenuity, collaboration, mutual respect, and personal and professional development.   We are committed to creating a culture where employees feel valued.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise Move-to-Work Housing Choice Voucher Program Processing Representatives.
Possess and maintain working knowledge of the Housing Choice Voucher Program’s policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Respond promptly to continued occupancy inquiries and complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Monitor productivity and performance standards.
Run reports, analyze data, and follow-up with staff member(s) to ensure administrative protocols are followed and corrective action is taken when necessary.
Willingness to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team to advance EOHLC and NeighborWorks Housing Solutions’ goals.
Execute participant and applicant contracts for the Housing Choice Voucher Program, HCVP.
Provide departmental project support as needed.
Administer HCVP vouchers when necessary.
Provide software support.
Deliver problem resolution guidance to staff and enter problem resolution notes in the recordkeeping system.
Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
Facilitate Program Representative meetings on an as needs basis.
Identify Program Processing Representative training needs and provide training when appropriate.
Encourage staff development and provide ongoing constructive feedback.

Job Requirements & Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Housing Choice Voucher Program administration experience preferred.
• Supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Promote an equitable, diverse, and inclusive working environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and comfortable learning new software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, pay attention to detail, multi-task, and work productively with limited supervision.
• Preference given to bilingual applicants.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Work is performed in an office environment.
