Job Description:

The Housing Consumer Education Manager is responsible for the development of ongoing community outreach programs and communication. This includes program participants, landlords, businesses, banks, service organizations and coalitions within the Plymouth and Bristol county service areas.

Job Requirements & Skills:


Research the needs of the residents of these communities. Once needs are established, the Manager shall develop training materials, conduct appropriate workshops through the service area.
Establish curriculums in the areas of housing search strategies, landlord training, financial literacy and first time homebuyer workshops.
Investigate new avenues of funding and growth as well as keep abreast of the program regulations, changes and grant renewals.
Act as liaison with the local media and businesses. In the capacity, the Manager shall make contact with local media: find new ways of obtaining media coverage and developing a relationship with local businesses.
Perform other tasks as necessary to facilitate the smooth function of the Housing Consumer Education Center.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Familiarity with MS Office and demonstrated skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including public speaking

Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree; 2-3 years’ experience in training or marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience
HUD Certified Counselor preferred
