Campaign for Heroes: NHS Veteran's Fund

NeighborWorks Housing Solutions (NHS) has established a fund supporting veterans and their families who are living in our housing or who receive supportive services from us. Veterans and their families experience a very unique set of needs, and at times experience unexpected costs that are not covered by state or public funds. These are costs that are incurred, some of which are unexpected and unbudgeted, and must be paid for directly by the veteran and his or her family. Many of these costs are basic but can cause significant financial strain. This fund will help bridge the gap, making it possible for veterans and their families to focus on healing and housing, without the fear and anxiety of losing valuable supports.

We believe that no veteran should ever have to decide between their home and stability and their ability to pay for basic necessities that keep them safe and healthy.
